Haven House Youth Crisis Shelter Services
CEO Michelle Zechmann will share a history of Haven House Service, including Wren House, the only youth crisis shelter in our area. Learn how they are helping to provide community-based services to at-risk youth and their families in Wake County. They work LGBTQ youth homelessness and providing safe places for youth in crisis.
Michelle has been Chief Executive Officer of Haven House Services since September 2009. In this role she directs, coordinates, and manages all operational and fiscal aspects of Haven House Services. Previous to this she was the Director of Quality Management and Program Development at The Durham Center, a mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities management agency. She has experience working for the last 20 years in both the mental health and the criminal justice fields.
Michelle and her wife (also named Michelle 😊) and their four kids live in Durham.
Enjoy our networking cocktail hour in the spacious upper floor of Cantina 18. Then, Cantina 18 will provide a buffet dinner for our group. There will be plenty of food and vegetarian options. A salad, entree, sides, and dessert will be provided. Beverages: Soda, Tea, or Water plus a full Cash Bar available with a wide selection of beer, wine, well drinks, and non-alcohol beverages.
Because there is a limited capacity for this event, we recommend advance registration.
