Pride and Gratitude:
An Affirmation of LGBTQ in a Religious Season
Jimmy Creech has been an extraordinary champion of our community for decades, because he is an advocate for all humanity. In 1999, he was found guilty of “disobedience to the order and discipline of The United Methodist Church.”
He is multi-cultural, interfaith, and is the author of two books. His best known is Adam’s Gift: Memoir of a Pastor’s Calling to Defy the Church’s Persecution of Lesbians and Gays. He has served his community as a Pastor, a non-profit Executive Director, founder, leader, activist, volunteer, and governmental servant. His organizations have included Faith in America, AIDS Services of Wake Co., NC Pride Political Action Committee (now Equality NC), the NC Council of Churches, and too many others to list here.
Join us as he presents a seasonal topic: “Pride and Gratitude: An Affirmation of LGBTQ in a Religious Season.”
Enjoy our networking cocktail hour. Then, 18 Seaboard will provide a buffet dinner for our group. There will be plenty of food and vegetarian options. A salad, entree, sides, and dessert will be provided. Beverages: Soda, Tea, or Water plus a full Cash Bar available with a wide selection of beer, wine, well drinks, and non-alcohol beverages.
(Note: You do not need a PayPal account to make reservations.)
